What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences and understand how you interact with it. Some cookies are essential for the site to function, while others help us improve your experience.

Websites can also store information on your device without using cookies, for example in browser local storage. This policy covers both, and says which is which.

Essential Cookies

These are strictly necessary for the site to function. They cannot be disabled, and they do not require your consent.

NameTypeProviderPurposeDuration
sb-*-auth-tokenCookieSupabaseKeeps you signed inUntil you sign out or the session expires
password_recoveryCookieThis siteConfirms you arrived from a genuine password reset link, so a password can only be changed by someone who opened that email15 minutes, cleared once the reset completes
cookie-consentLocal storageThis siteRecords whether you accepted or declined analytics, so we do not ask againUntil you change it or clear your browser storage

Analytics

These help us understand how visitors use the site. Nothing in this section loads unless you press Accept on the cookie banner, and it all stops if you decline or later withdraw your consent.

NameTypeProviderPurposeDuration
_gaCookieGoogle AnalyticsDistinguishes unique users2 years
_ga_*CookieGoogle AnalyticsMaintains session state2 years
Vercel Web AnalyticsNo cookie or storageVercelCounts page views without setting a cookie or identifying youNot applicable

Google Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months. Vercel Web Analytics is cookieless, so it stores nothing on your device. We gate it behind consent anyway, because the banner tells you we use analytics and declining should mean exactly that.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not allow third parties to track you across other websites.

Managing Your Cookies

You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the footer of any page. That reopens the banner so you can accept or decline. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and if you decline after previously accepting, the page reloads so any analytics already running stops immediately.

You can also manage cookies through your browser settings by blocking or deleting them. Please note that blocking essential cookies will break authentication and session management, so you will not be able to stay signed in.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
